Vid Keršič presented what artificial intelligence can learn from graph data
The fourth lecture of the ASEF Young Minds programme in cooperation with Student Club Slovenska Bistrica took place in Slovenska Bistrica. Vid Keršič, an ASEF Junior Fellow of the 2021 generation, a young researcher and a PhD student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, University of Maribor, presented his research work.
Vid gave us a presentation on the use of artificial intelligence and the experience of his virtual visit to ASEF mentor prof. dr. Jure Leskovec at Stanford University. He explained the basics of AI, from its development to graph theory and machine learning on graphs, using interesting examples from practice and focusing on the problem of handling large amounts of data for the purpose of good AI models.
The next lecture ASEF Young Minds cycle is taking place on the 18th of July (location TBA). Nuša Dijak, ASEF Junior Fellow generation 2022 and a Master’s student at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ljubljana, who this year took part in an ASEF research visit to Deakin University in Victoria, Australia, will talk about expressing emotions through colouristic artwork.
The project is implemented with the support of the Office for Youth.
