Interview With Prof. Dr. Ivan Bratko

March 04, 2021

“It would be good if the latest chess programs could explain their decisions in a human-readable way. However, the same problem occurs in many other machine learning applications, such as justice, medicine, biology. At present, the most successful methods of machine learning do not allow such an explanation, therefore a few years ago a completely new field of artificial intelligence called explainable artificial intelligence appeared to make these effective methods of artificial intelligence explainable.”

ASEF computer tutor prof. dr. Ivan Bratko, the pioneer of artificial intelligence in Slovenia and one of the first in the world to test machine learning methods on real data, participated in an interview on the First Program of Radio Slovenia.
