CS@ASEF Reading Club Discussed Graph Neural Networks

On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, the reading group met yet again in a hybrid way – at the Jožef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana and online.
This time, Gregor Kržmanc, ASEF Junior Fellow 2022, presented an article entitled “Hierarchical Graph Neural Networks for Particle Track Reconstruction” (https://inspirehep.net/literature/2638375). He described current progress, challenges, and opportunities in this area.
After the presentation, the group had an interesting discussion about GNNs and geometric deep learning in physics, and the current challenges in the field.
