Launch of the 2026/2027 ASEF Tutorial Season: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Health and Well-Being Challenges
On Monday, October 5, 2026, we held the introductory meeting for the new generation of the 2026/2027 Tutorial Programme. Now entering its 7th year, this one-year programme brings together past scholarship recipients who will work under the mentorship of leading academic tutors across six fields: Biochemistry & Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics & Engineering, Medicine, Health Informatics, and Social Sciences.
In the Spotlight This Year: Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-Being
Each season of the tutorial programme focuses on a timely societal issue. This year’s focus is centered on UN Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-being. The core of the programme lies in challenging fellows with complex topics outside their primary area of study, creating a rewarding challenge for everyone involved.
Throughout the year, fellows will gather for monthly tutorial sessions, interdisciplinary collaborations, and two round tables. These events aim to foster critical thinking, practice public speaking, and present research in a clear, accessible way for all audiences.
Diploma Ceremony and Presentation of the Proceedings: Sustainable Food Systems: An Interdisciplinary View on Challenges and Potential Solutions
The introductory meeting was also an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the previous generation, who were officially awarded their certificates. Additionally, we presented the upcoming 5th ASEF Tutorial Proceedings, the product of their hard work, titled Sustainable Food Systems: An Interdisciplinary View on Challenges and Potential Solutions.
ASEF Proceedings carry a rich tradition, the very first volume, on the topic of clean water, even became official reading material for a university course. The peer-reviewed essays in the publication offer engaging and educational reading for experts and the general public alike.
Special thanks go to Leone, who supported the printed version of the Proceedings as a strategic partner.
Congratulations to all diploma recipients, new fellows, and tutors, we wish you a successful academic year!
