Nola Valerian is in her third year at The Ohio State University, where she is pursuing a major in visual communications design with a minor in media production and analysis. Within her studies, she explores the application of digital tools, including advanced computing technology, to visualize and present translations of complex data and ideas. Nola currently works as a design assistant for an information technology organization that specializes in intrastate networking. She additionally works as a video production assistant through her college’s athletics program. Outside of her academics and work, Nola enjoys attending concerts, hiking, and spending time with friends and family. Slovenian culture has always been an important part of Nola’s life as her grandparents were born and raised there before coming to America. She’s looking forward to connecting with her family in Slovenia since her last visit was three years ago and hopes to take advantage of Slovenia’s beautiful outdoors.
