Klobučar Tajda

I am currently finishing my master program in Biotechnology, Biotechnical faculty, University of Ljubljana. Although I’ve undertook both BSc and MSc in Slovenia, I have done multiple traineeships in Germany, Sweden and Portugal. I am a two-time recipient of The Milan Lenarčič University Foundation scholarship and received a Charter for the outstanding academic achievement by University of Ljubljana (2018). My practical research experience has led me into the intriguing world of stem cells. Whether they are the answer to all modern medical problems – I am yet to decide. However, it will be my outmost pleasure to spend the summer in the group of prof. dr. Jernej Ule in London, where I’ll have a chance to explore stem cells from another extremely interesting perspective of RNA molecule and RNA-binding proteins.

Most of my free time is filled up with music since I play the violin in many different groups. While abroad, I love to explore small, local places with live music and to learn about the locals’ habits and their pace of life.
