Ložar Taja

Taja Ložar is an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ljubljana. Her interests include oncology and cancer biology, modelling of biological systems, cancer prevention and epidemiology, paliative care, and gynaecology. For the past two years she has been working as a student team member at the National cervical cancer screening program ZORA. She is involved in several research projects at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana, the most recent being circulating tumor cell isolation and its implementation into clinical practice.

Taja will spend her summer working with professor Robert Jeraj at The University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on cancer research and clinical trial design. She is excited to explore new ways of optimizing cancer therapy to improve patients’ quality of life and learn about the mathematical concepts that could aid in achieving this goal.
