Matej is currently pursuing a Master’s in Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE). Before that, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Financial Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in Ljubljana. Alongside the formal education curriculum, Matej has already authored three scientific articles; published in The Journal for Money and Banking and mathematical journal Matrika. In 2020 he won 1st place at the Innovative All-Nighter competition with his team. After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree, he worked as a quantitative research analyst at Generali Investments Slovenia. In his spare time, Matej enjoys playing tennis, beach volleyball, skiing, dancing, and sailing. As a part of the ASEF Junior Fellows programme, Matej will research with Prof. Dawn Song at the University of California, Berkeley.
