Sara Ermenc is a Master’s student at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law. Her legal research interests encompass commercial law, including all its branches. During her studies she was enthusiastic about gathering international experience – she studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, apart from the latter she took part in numerous legal competitions and workshops, attended conferences, pursued internships, etc.. As she is eager to transform the theory into solving conundrums in practice, she has done legal research for various moot-courts, academic collaborations with the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business and last but not least for the work at the international law firm, where she is currently acquiring expertise.
She is honoured to be granted the opportunity to visit prof. Urška Velikonja at the Georgetown University in Washington D.C., where she will research corporate governance in the banking sector, focusing mainly on the comparative analysis of the Slovenian (continental) and American (common-law) systems.
