Janež Petra

Petra Janež recently finished a PhD in Economics. During her PhD study, she made research visits to the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her MSc and BSc degree in Economics from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. In her PhD dissertation, she examined the impact of the real estate tax policy on migration at the local and regional level in Slovenia with empirical modeling. She continues her research on how to attract new companies, capital and people to the country and on the other hand how to keep them. She is currently extending her knowledge at the Slovenian Institute of Auditors. She will visit Prof. Urška Velikonja to cooperate with her at the Georgetown University, Washington DC and she is honored to be given this opportunity. In her free time, she enjoys sports like skiing, playing tennis, biking, hiking and other activities.
