Lukič Marija

Marija is a final, sixth-year student of Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana. As she gained deeper knowledge about different fields in dentistry, she became especially interested in periodontology and prosthodontics. Currently, she’s involved in research on public knowledge about Endodontics, but she is looking forward to taking a chance to work in periodontics with Dr. Janina Golob Deeb at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Throughout her studies, she volunteered in a student project, focused on preventive dentistry. She was also active in medical and dental students magazines. She attended different workshops and international congresses, which broaden her view on dentistry and improved her clinical work.

Her profession is the exact opposite of one of her favorite hobbies – baking. She jokes that she is doing it because somebody has to provide customers for dentists. She also loves to dance, enjoys different kinds of art and loves creative handwork, which is one of the reasons she chose dentistry in the first place. She is honored and grateful to ASEF for this opportunity.
