Larsen is an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science (FRI), University of Ljubljana and is currently working on his bachelor thesis in the field of Machine Learning. Before his research visit, he is finishing his last bachelor’s semester at the Faculty of Engineering, South Denmark University, as an Erasmus exchange student. During his studies, Larsen has been working in the Laboratory of Algorithms and Data Structures. He is designing different optimization algorithms and machine learning models for the industry. Because of his passion for entrepreneurship, he also founded a natural honey cosmetics company, called Beesmetic, and wants to found a tech company in the near future. During his free time, he likes to work out and play board games with his friends and family. He also loves to learn and teach others about computer science and mathematics. That is why he also went to The Gambia, Africa, as a volunteer and helped organize summer camp workshops for kids, where he taught them Mathematics and English through different games and exercises.
Larsen is truly excited to be this year’s ASEF Junior Fellow. He can’t wait to gain new knowledge related to Artificial Intelligence under the mentorship of prof. Mateja Jamnik at Cambridge University.
