Dular Lara

Lara Dular is a first-year PhD student at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. She is a young researcher at the Laboratory of Imaging Technologies, where she is developing image processing and image analysis techniques in the field of medical imaging. Before joining the laboratory, she obtained her master’s degree in Financial Mathematics at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics.

Currently, she is developing machine learning models for the analysis of brain MRI scans in order to study structural brain changes of patients with neurodegenerative diseases. During the summer she will be working with prof. Sanja Fidler at the University of Toronto, where she will expand her knowledge of deep learning and apply the ideas to medical data. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking and exploring nature, as well as discovering the hidden gems of lively cities.​
