Kodrič Meta

Meta Kodrič is a master’s student of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in Ljubljana, where she also obtained her bachelor’s degree. During her undergraduate studies she conducted an Erasmus+ traineeship at the University of Helsinki, where she worked with oncolytic adenoviruses for cancer immunotherapy and participated in the development of improved adenoviral vaccines against COVID-19. Besides that, Meta has gained plenty of practical experience as a student intern at the Institute of Pathophysiology in Ljubljana and while working in Novartis company Lek, d.d. in the department for Analytical science and technology. In her free time Meta likes to explore the outdoors and enjoys doing sports such as climbing, hiking, skiing and windsurfing. As an ASEF Junior Fellow Meta will join prof. dr. Boštjan Kobe’s research group at the University of Queensland in Australia, where she will be working on the structural characterization of proteins involved in innate immunity.
