Martin is a second-year master’s program student in Data Science at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science, University of Ljubljana. He enrolled in this program after completing his undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition to his studies, he gained experience as a researcher at the Jožef Štefan Institute and as an artificial intelligence engineer in the industry. In the past year, he won first place for the best student project with the MindMessAI application at the Slovenian Computer Science Days 2023 conference.
Currently, he is interested in researching methods for generating synthetic data, specifically focusing on the generation of relational databases. With the project “A Survey and Empirical Comparison of Synthetic Data Generation Methods,” his team achieved first place in the Data Science Competition. He is currently finalizing a scientific article and a benchmark on this topic to evaluate the quality of relational synthetic data.
