Stojanovič Blaž

Blaž Stojanovič is a graduate student at the University of Cambridge, reading for an MPhil in Scientific Computing. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics in Ljubljana. While studying, he worked part-time in the Parallel and Distributed systems Laboratory, Jozef Stefan Institute, under the supervision of dr. Gregor Kosec, where he helped develop an open-source library for solving partial differential equations. His interests lie at the intersection of Machine Learning and the natural sciences, hoping to better understand deep learning using methods from statistical physics. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with prof. Jure Leskovec, at Stanford University.

His free time is spent windsurfing, hiking, and backcountry skiing, as well as reading and adding books onto his already too long reading list.
