Jernej is a third year chemistry student at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in Ljubljana. During primary and secondary school, he actively participated in cultural events, athletic competitions and various knowledge competitions. He will undertake a research visit in the field of organic synthesis under the supervision of Professor David Šarlah in Illinois. During his studies he developed a passion for organic chemistry. Therefore, the opportunities, connections and knowledge he will gain as a member of the ASEF community mean a great deal to him. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, reading comics and web novels, and hanging out with friends.
