Anja works as a teaching assistant at the Department for Prosthetic Dentistry, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. In the course of her studies, she has participated in a research project in periodontology that earned her the Prešeren award of the Faculty of Medicine for research achievement and attended various international congresses and workshops. After obtaining her dental degree and completing her internship, she gained practical experience working as a general dentist for a year and a half.
As part of the ASEF fellowship program, Anja will be visiting prof. Janina Golob Deeb at the Virginia Commonwealth University, with the intention of expanding her knowledge. She is eager to take up the challenge through this research opportunity and hopes to make a positive contribution to prof. Golob Deeb’s team. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, travelling to sunny destinations and reading spy novels.
