Živa Alif is a PhD student of Economics of Natural Resources at the University of Ljubljana, focusing her research on the social aspects of nature conservation in farmland – in other words, trying to convince farmers to protect biodiversity on their farms. She completed a research masters in ecology, evolution and conservation at Imperial College London and holds a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford. Having moved from biology to social sciences, Živa is keen to get an insight into experimental and behavioural research in the environmental field, therefore she is excited to visit prof. dr. Sara Dolničar at the University of Queensland. In her free time, she enjoys singing and participating in all kinds of outdoors activities, from birding to cycling.
