Possibility of Decomposing Plastics With the Help of Microorganisms

On Monday, December 21, the last lecture of this year as part of ASEF Young Minds took place. Pia Marija Oblak, ASEF Fellow 2019, paid her 10-week research visit to prof. Jernej Murn at the University of California, Riverside, USA. Pia Marija emphasizes that the experience brought her personal growth and independence, as she worked in a dynamic research environment. She gained new practical experiences and approaches to work, new acquaintances and got to know different cultures.

The event was organized as part of a series of lectures by ASEF Young Minds, and we connected with the Upper Savinja Students’ Club (KZSŠ). In the ASEF Young Minds project, ASEF connects with local organizations in the youth sector that operate in the places where the lecturers come from. The operation of KZSŠ was presented by the president of the club Rožle Stajner.
