Celebrating Our 2025 ASEF Visit Slovenia Fellows on International Mother Language Day!

Today, on International Mother Language Day, we celebrate not only the richness of the Slovenian language but also the next generation of young Slovenians abroad who will soon deepen their connection to their heritage through the ASEF Visit Slovenia Fellowship.

After a highly competitive selection process with over 60 outstanding applicants from around the world, we are proud to announce the 11 exceptional young Slovenians chosen for the 2025 cohort. These talented students—excelling in fields such as medicine and health, computer science, psychology, economics, biology, and marketing—will embark on a transformative 10-week research visit to Slovenia.

Our 2025 Fellows come from across the globe, representing New York, Colorado, Buenos Aires, Ohio, California, and Minnesota:

🔹 Caroline Cupar
🔹 Magdalena Eciolaza
🔹 Anna Ferkul
🔹 Maria Futey
🔹 Genevieve Gregorich
🔹 Matthew Klepec
🔹 Miranda Kreinbrink-Gačnik
🔹 Hayden Leach
🔹 Elizabeth Stupica
🔹 Vincent Vombergar
🔹 Milena Zupanc

These young scholars embody excellence, ambition, and a deep appreciation for their Slovenian roots. Their selection marks the beginning of an incredible journey—one that will allow them to contribute to their fields while strengthening their bond with Slovenia.

We are proud today—of our language, our youth, and this remarkable program.

A heartfelt thank you to Urad za Slovence v zamejstvu in po svetu, our generous donors, and all supporters who make this program possible.

Čestitke vsem! 🇸🇮💙
