ASEF Professor Gašper Beguš Is Opening New Perspectives on Language and Artificial Intelligence
Gašper Beguš, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Berkeley in the USA, where he deals with two-way communication between linguistics and computer science. On the one hand, he is interested in how to use language knowledge to better understand how artificial intelligence is learned, and on the other hand, he is also interested in how to use computer programs to better understand how people learn language.
He is currently working on a very interesting project in which they are trying to decipher the communication of humpback whales and potentially make contact with them. More in the post below.
