ASEF Junior Fellow Maja Kosir Successfully Completes Better Meds Internship

July 19, 2024

We are excited to announce that Maja Kosir, ASEF Junior Fellow generation 2024 successfully completed her internship at Better Care!

Better Care is a software development company whose mission is to improve care by simplifying the work of healthcare professionals. Experts at Better build low-code tools to help healthcare organizations develop bespoke applications, suited for their particular needs.

Maja Kosir is pursuing a degree in Communication Management at the University of Dayton, Ohio, and was placed with the Better Meds team through ASEF’s Visit Slovenia program. During her internship, she worked on creating a stakeholder map and a communication strategy for Better Meds EDU, focusing on researching potential U.S. universities that could integrate this program into their curriculum.

Besides successfully completing the internship, Maja shared how a strong sense of community and the company’s supportive atmosphere influenced her time here. The warm and welcoming environment, along with the guidance from her mentors Alma Tana Jakoš and Veronika Stepanova, significantly enhanced her experience, helping her develop valuable skills and form meaningful connections.

In her interview with Better, Kosir expressed immense appreciation for the collaborative and innovative work environment. Kosir advised future interns to engage openly with their coworkers and seek help when needed, as the team’s friendliness and willingness to assist were instrumental in her positive experience.

We congratulate Maja Kosir on successfully completing her internship and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

We also thank the Government Office for Slovenians Abroad and the Office for Youth for their support.
