ASEF Institute at the Meeting of the Commission for the Relations with Slovenes in Neighboring and Other Countries on Emigration, Promotion of Return and Cooperation of Slovenian Emigrants
On Thursday, April 13, the ASEF Institute for Education and Research (ASEF Institute) together with the Institute for Slovenian Emigration and Migration ZRC SAZU (ISIM ZRC SAZU) responded to the invitation and participated in the session of the Commission for the Relations with Slovenes in Neighboring and Other Countries in the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia.
Dr. Dejan Valentinčič, who is the head of the targeted research project CRP 2019 entitled “Mitigating the consequences of brain drain and strengthening the mechanism of brain circulation”, contributed to the discussion by presenting key results, findings and recommendations of the project on emigration, promotion of return and cooperation of Slovenian emigrants and their descendants with the Republic of Slovenia. He was accompanied in the presentation by Dr. Marina Lukšič Hacin, head of the Institute for Slovenian Emigration and Migration ZRC SAZU, with which the ASEF Institute cooperated within the project.

CRP 2019 Mitigating the consequences of brain drain and strengthening the brain circulation mechanism (No. V5-1928) was co-financed from 1 November 2019 to 31 October 2021 by the Public Research Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (ARRS) and the Ministry of Education, Science and of Sport (MIZŠ), implemented by the ASEF Institute for Education and Research and the Institute for Slovenian Emigration and Migration ZRC SAZU.
