The ASEF Institute for Education and Research is expanding its team. We are looking for a Program Manager to lead our core programs (Research Abroad, Visit Slovenia) as well as our talent development programs.

About ASEF

The American-Slovenian Education Foundation (ASEF) connects young, educated Slovenians at home and around the world, providing ample opportunities for growth and development through its programs. Our core initiatives include a fellowship program for research visits with Slovenian professors at renowned universities abroad (e.g., Stanford, Harvard, Princeton), and a fellowship program that enables Slovenians worldwide to conduct research visits at Slovenian universities, research institutes, and companies. In recent years, we have developed new programs that further enhance our work with young talents (e.g., ASEF Tutoring, ASEF Speaker Series, ASEF Young Minds, research projects).

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating fellowship programs and projects

  • Organizing educational and social events

  • Executing promotional activities

  • Preparing various materials, reports, and content (ranging from basic to complex)

  • Collecting and organizing data, and maintaining records

  • Managing the website and social media channels

  • Performing other organizational, communication, and administrative tasks

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Reliability, accuracy, diligence, independence, and strong self-initiative

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency in software for word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets

  • Strong command of both Slovenian and English

  • Previous experience in relevant fields is considered an asset

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6 under the Slovenian educational framework)
