[Virtual Lecture]: Physiological Synchronization as an Assessment of Interpersonal Connectivity
You are invited to a virtual lecture on physiological synchronization as an assessment of interpersonal connectivity, which will be conducted by ASEF professor dr. Vesna Novak.
Dr. Novak, an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of Cincinnati, will present the phenomenon of physiological synchronization: when two people talk or cooperate, their bodies subconsciously begin to behave similarly. People breathe similarly, their hearts beat similarly, even their brain waves become more and more synchronized. Synchronization is stronger if the two people work together effectively or if their conversation is interesting. The lecturer explores whether this phenomenon can be assessed with computers and how we can enrich interpersonal communication and cooperation with the assessed synchronization.
