The First Round Table within ASEF Tutoring 2025/2026
Interdisciplinary Innovations – A Bridge to the Sustainable Society of the Future I
Following several months of in-depth work within the ASEF tutoring groups, ASEF is organizing the first round table under the ASEF Tutoring program, titled “Interdisciplinary Innovations – A Bridge to the Sustainable Society of the Future I.”
The round table will take place on Wednesday, March 18, at 5:00 PM in the Prešeren Hall at SAZU (Novi trg 4, 1000 Ljubljana). Registration via Eventbrite is mandatory.
ASEF Tutoring is a program involving ASEF Fellows working in small groups. Under the guidance of tutors from various fields, fellows engage in independent research, discussion, and the writing of papers on socially relevant topics.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, the tutoring groups focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9, which aims to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
Their findings will be presented by the 2025 Generation of ASEF Fellows from six tutoring groups:
- Biochemistry and Chemistry (Tutor: Dr. Alen Krajnc)
- Physics and Engineering (Tutor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sašo Grozdanov)
- Medicine (Tutor: Prof. Dr. Janez Žibert)
- Social Sciences (Tutor: Prof. Dr. Tomaž Deželan)
- Computer Science (Tutor: Prof. Dr. Ivan Bratko)
- Environmental Protection and Tourism (Tutor: Prof. Dr. Miha Humar)
