Festive Gathering that Strengthens Bonds: The ASEF Christmas Reception 2025

Ljubljana, December 24, 2025 – As the festive season reaches its peak, the ASEF community gathered to celebrate another year of growth, connection, and shared knowledge.

Yesterday evening, the ASEF family came together for our Christmas Reception, an event that has become a cherished cornerstone of our calendar. It was a heartening sight to see ASEF Fellows from across different generations – alumni and newcomers alike – mingling, sharing stories, and strengthening the bonds that define our global network.

A Spirited Battle of Wits

The undeniable highlight of the evening was the premiere of the first-ever “Traditional” ASEF Pub Quiz. This wasn’t your average trivia night; it was a true “brain-twister” designed to challenge even the sharpest minds in our community.

The atmosphere was electric as teams navigated through a series of demanding questions. The competition was incredibly fierce, literally coming down to the wire, with every group displaying the impressive wit and intellectual spirit that ASEF is known for. Congratulations to all participants for making it such a thrilling contest!

We were privileged to be joined by ASEF Co-founder Jure Leskovec and his wife Nina Leskovec, whose presence added a special warmth to the night. Alongside them, Rok Sekirnik, Director of the ASEF Institute, shared in the festivities, reflecting on the community’s achievements and the bright future ahead.
