Luka Petravić, MD, presented the reuse of data in medicine in a series of short stories
On Wednesday, May 22, ASEF Young Minds visited Novo mesto for a popular science lecture co-organized with LokalPatriot. The lecture was given by Luka Petravić, MD, a young doctor and ASEF Junior Fellow 2023. He conducted his research visit at the University of Chicago in the laboratory of ASEF Mentor Dr Luka Pocivavsek.
In his lecture, Luka presented several successful projects that have managed to create added value with data and emphasized, “In America, they have already recognized the value of data and are actively using it in their decisions. I would like to see this shift in mindset in Slovenia as well.”
The last popular science lecture before the summer holidays will take place on July 5, at 7 p.m., co-organized with Student Association Silaq at the Šentjošt Cultural Center (Šentjošt nad Horjulom 13, 1354 Horjul). This time, Jakob Kobal, musician, multimedia engineer and ASEF Junior Fellow 2022, will talk about the connection between the scientific world and the musical world.
The project is implemented with the support of the Office for Youth and the Office for Slovenians Abroad.
