Get to know the ASEF Podcast guests [Episode 27]

The new episode of the ASEF Podcast hosts dr. Jure Knez, the founder of Dewesoft. He received his doctorate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana. In 2000, together with three partners, he founded the company Dewesoft, based in Trbovlje, which manufactures measuring instruments that are used in the laboratories of the aviation and automotive industries all over the world. He is also the founder of the business accelerator company Katapult, which provides support infrastructure to young entrepreneurs and advises them on the beginnings of their business journey.

On the podcast he talked about the insights of the company’s origins, the role of artificial intelligence in test and measurement tools, his views on entrepreneurship, his role and vision regarding the Katapult startup environment, and the main challenges entrepreneurs and companies face in Slovenia. In addition, he spoke of Slovenia’s main competitive advantages and how the Slovenian business environment can be improved.
