Gabriel Nemanič, 2022 ASEF Junior Fellow, Reflects on His Research Visit in Slovenia

Gabriel Nemanič, a final-year student of Medicine at the National University of Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, has recently completed his 10-week research visit. Gabriel did an internship in pediatrics at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Marko Pokorn.

During his stay in Slovenia, and thanks to the meetings and trips organized by ASEF, he met Fellows from the United States, Australia, Slovenia, and Argentina with whom, despite the distance, he has created beautiful friendships. The fellowship also helped Gabriel improve his Slovenian and learn more about Slovenian culture as well as visit beautiful places in the country that his grandparents had to leave in 1948.
