Tina Saksida

Bio:

Dr. Tina Saksida is an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Prince Edward Island in Canada. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned her PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto. Her work has been published in journals such as Applied Psychology: An International Review, British Journal of Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society, and The International Journal of Human Resource Management. She primarily teaches in the areas of organizational behavior, research methods, evidence-based management, and negotiation. Dr. Saksida maintains close personal and professional ties to her native Slovenia, where she has experience working as a project manager, research associate, and consultant.

Research projects:

Dr. Saksida’s research interests intersect the fields of organizational behavior, human resource management, negotiation, and labor relations. Her recent projects explore topics such as diversity and equity at work, gender representation in business education, the digitalization of work (with a focus on the gig economy), and non-profit management (including labor unions). Interested candidates should have a strong background in research methods (or demonstrate a willingness to learn), basic knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Mplus), a record of academic achievement in the fields of management, organizational psychology, or related disciplines, and advanced proficiency in English.
