Urša Zevnik is currently pursuing an MSc in Molecular Life Science at Karolinska Institute, KTH, and Stockholm University. Her current research focuses on improving machine-learning–based models for protein sequence design. Her long-term vision is to leverage machine learning to advance medical research, a direction she will pursue further during her DPhil in Medical Sciences at the University of Oxford.

Before that, as part of the ASEF Junior Fellows program, she will visit Prof. Andrej Šali at the University of California, San Francisco, where she will further deepen her understanding of protein structure and interactions.
