Tomaž Jurkovič is a first-year master’s student in the Research and Development Programme – Mechanics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He completed his bachelor’s degree under the mentorship of Prof. Miha Brojan, focusing on nonlinear deformations of elastic beams in nonhomogeneous magnetic fields.

As part of the research visit, he will work with Prof. Andrej Košmrlj at Princeton University in the USA, where he aims to gain new research experience and expand his knowledge in the field of mechanics. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and beach volleyball as well as the piano and guitar.
