Tina Košuta
Bio:
Tina Košuta is a doctoral student in Statistics at the University of Ljubljana. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the same university. During her studies, she participated in two Erasmus exchanges—spending part of her bachelor’s studies in Lisbon and later visiting the University of Vic in Catalonia during her master’s. There, she conducted research for her master’s thesis on the Nested Sampling algorithm under the supervision of Prof. Carlo Manzo. Currently, her PhD research focuses on the use of penalization in likelihood estimation for generalized linear mixed-effects models.
Projects:
As part of the ASEF Junior Fellowship program, Tina will visit prof. Dr. Gregor Gorjanc at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In her free time, she enjoys sports such as hiking, climbing, and fencing, as well as reading and traveling.
