Nora is a sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati, where she is studying chemical engineering with a minor in biology. She is passionate about the intersection of engineering and life sciences, and her goal after graduation is to pursue a career in research and attend graduate school.

Nora grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by a vibrant Slovenian community. She immersed herself in Slovenian culture through her participation in the Kres folklore dance group and her active involvement in the Slovenska Pristava community. Her grandparents, Lou and Sylvia, inspired her to embrace her Slovenian roots and seek a deeper connection with her heritage.

During her stay in Slovenia, Nora is looking forward to spending time with family, hiking, and learning more about her heritage. She also aims to gain valuable research experience and enhance her problem-solving skills from an international perspective. She is excited to explore Slovenia and connect with other ASEF fellows.
