Lana Prijon

Bio:

Lana is a first-year master’s student of mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana. She has long enjoyed immersing herself in mathematical problem-solving, and during her high school years she participated in numerous international mathematics competitions. She gained her first research experience at the Jožef Stefan Institute, where she worked on projects in the field of machine learning. She is now continuing her academic path as an ASEF Junior Fellow and will undertake her research visit under the mentorship of Prof. Mateja Šajna at the University of Ottawa, where she will focus on the study of fuzzy cognitive maps.

Projects:

Lana enjoys spending her free time in nature. You can often find her climbing or taking leisurely walks through the forest, where she is especially drawn to the beauty of mosses and lichens. She also enjoys spending time with friends, reading a good book, or working on creative projects with yarn.
