Bio:

Hana Podjed holds a BA in Slovene Studies and Interlingual Studies at the University of Maribor and is currently completing her master’s degree at the Department of Slavic Studies at the University of Ljubljana. From the beginning of her academic journey, she has been particularly drawn to literature, which inspired her to further study languages and explore broader cultural, social, and linguistic issues. Throughout her studies, she has expanded her knowledge through various exchanges and seminars abroad.

Projects:

During her undergraduate studies, she participated in exchange programs in Vienna and at Charles University in Prague. As a master’s student, she also attended numerous international language seminars, including in Ohrid, North Macedonia, and Belgrade, Serbia. At the beginning of the 2024/25 academic year, she took part in a research visit to Skopje, focusing on historical literary and interlingual connections. She also completed an internship at the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, which further deepened her interest in intercultural linguistic relations, European integration, and the historical factors shaping current language policies. She will conduct her research visit at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands under the mentorship of Professor Peter Verovšek.
