
Hana Beloglavec
Hana Beloglavec, a trombonist and pedagogue, has a dynamic career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. She also teaches at Louisiana State University. As a core member of Seraph Brass, Beloglavec has performed and taught throughout the United States and internationally. Seraph Brass is a chamber group in residence at the Artosphere Music Festival. With a deep interest in orchestral music, Beloglavec currently performs as a substitute trombonist with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. Hana Beloglavec earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Northwestern University, where she studied with Professors Michael Mulcahy, Douglas Wright, Timothy Higgins, Randall Hawes, and Christopher Davis. She completed her Master of Music degree at Yale University and her Bachelor of Music degree at Western Michigan University, where she studied with Professor Scott Hartman and Dr. Steve Wolfinbarger, respectively. Applicants for the ASEF Junior Fellowship Program must include recordings of two to three pieces (movements and/or etudes) in contrasting styles with their application.
Research and Creative Activity: Hana Beloglavec’s work focuses on trombone performance as a chamber musician and soloist in recitals, as well as an ensemble musician in orchestras and wind ensembles.
