Lucija Tacer spoke about Youth in Politics and Democratic Innovation
On Thursday, 7 December, the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana hosted the eighth ASEF Young Minds Lecture, organised by ASEF together with the European Law Students’ Association ELSA Ljubljana. The lecture was given by Lucija Tacer, ASEFJunior Fellow 2022, a graduate of economics and political science at Vanderbilt University and a law graduate at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ljubljana.
Lucija gave a lecture on young people’s political participation, saying, among other things, “By building trust in political institutions and democracy, we can achieve greater citizen participation in democratic processes. The purpose of engaging in democratic processes is to gain democratic legitimacy – the people have the power.“
The next lecture that will kick off the ASEF Young Minds cycle will be revealed soon. Stay tuned!
The project is implemented with the support of the Office for Youth.
