Award Ceremony for the First Prizes From the Dr. Uroš Seljak Foundation

Next week, the University of Ljubljana, ASEF, donor dr. Uroš Seljak and the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, will present the first awards of the Dr. Uroš Seljaka Foundation for the best scientific publications of students in the Bachelor and Masters level.

Dr. Uroš Seljak, professor at the University of California, Berkeley, ASEF mentor and UL graduate, was one of the three scientist who received the extremely prestigious Gruber Prize for research in cosmology last year. It is one of the most prestigious prizes in science, and the winner receives 500,000 US dollars in addition to recognition.

With his part of the prize, dr. Seljak established a prize fund for Bachelor and Masters students who publish the best scientific article.
