ASEF Mentors Guests at the 8th Symposium of Slovenian Researchers Abroad

On Wednesday, 20 December 2023, during the 8th Symposium of Slovenian Researchers Abroad organized by VTIS Association, a panel discussion entitled “GOOD PRACTICES: How can Slovenian scientists around the world collaborate with researchers in Slovenia?” took place. The session featured ASEF mentor Dr. Urška Velikonja,  professor at Georgetown University in Washington, USA. 

The speakers discussed good practices in connecting Slovenian scientists around the world with researchers in Slovenia. Dr Urška Velikonja highlighted ASEF as an example of such good cooperation, which has been cooperating with the Slovenian Embassy in Washington on various projects for several years. One of the recent events that was successfully organized is Symposium on Artificial Intelligence.

The following day, 21 December, the Symposium featured an enlightening Panel on ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS SCIENCES, with ASEF mentor Dr. Matevž Rašković, Associate Professor at Auckland University of Technology. In a panel of significant discoveries, Dr. Rašković presented “Economics of Belonging: from Idea to Reality” and stressed the importance of being aware of the participation of all members of society and of achieving performance that aligns with the weakest link in the chain.
